On Friday, June 18 the community of Longmont came together to write a message in the parking lot of Silver Creek High School. Thanks to the effort and energy of Vince Jordan, Payton Peterson and Tom Sheffield (pictured below with Mayor Bryan Baum) to make it happen in less than a week. It was a blast, there was so much excitement from everyone there! My blue car is part of the small g in Google and my friend and fellow photographer, Debbie Cruikshank of Colorado Aerial Photography, took a photo before the DigiGlobe satellite snapped one from over 400 miles high at 12:27 PM. www.coloradoaerial.com/ I, along with most everyone in town, hope that Google makes the best choice and picks Longmont as the community for the Google project!

Flowers are God's thoughts of beauty. . .

This gallery exhibit at Still Frame Gallery definitely has the WOW factor! All the flowers, except the lower right hibiscus, were taken in our backyard garden this spring mostly with a 50mm macro. The t-bar displays six 16x16 images printed on metal and looks like glass.
Advantages of a studio portrait are: 1) it's cool and comfortable, 2) no need to worry about Colorado weather and wind, 3) can be done at any time of day since the light is always right 4) we have a variety of classic or contemporary backdrops, 5) it's different 6) it's fun!
We had the pleasure to capture a family portrait of Rose & Mark Chamberlain with their teenage children Madison & Chase on Mother's Day, and Jean & Dan Ditslear with Leah and Emmett for Father's Day. We did a business portrait for Edwina Salazar for the OUR Center and Jeff Simcock of the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce. We photographed pooch Amber Nicoletti to be used for a pet portrait promotion for the Longmont Humane Society in August. We also really enjoyed photographing the dance classes for Dance Dimensions in Longmont in June too! We love photographing people and capturing the essence of the spirit on "film."

Thank you Longmont! I am delighted to have received the award for Readers' Choice Photographer 2010! It truly is a great honor and I will do my best to earn a reputation to become Longmont's premier portrait photographer who offers the finest in professional skill, artistic style and personalized service to her clients.
For the first year in business I focused on making connections and building relationships to establish my professional photography business. Without a doubt, membership in the Longmont Area Chamber of Commerce has been very instrumental to introduce myself to so many wonderful people and businesses that are a part of the local community. I know it may sound silly but the best way to describe how I feel is "The Chamber rocks!" I have really enjoyed the Leadership Longmont program as a way to learn about the great community we now call home. We think Longmont is a very special place and appreciate the sense of community and caring. With active participation in the Chamber, I have been given many opportunities to meet new friends and to give support where needed. Matt loves his job as a counselor at Altona Middle School. We both feel so fortunate to be able to enjoy our life and work here. How lucky can you get - we've got endless mountain trails to hike and miles of country roads to bike! We are lovin' Longmont!

The magic of Photoshop . . . that a bunch of us can go virtually bald to support Jim Lytton for a good cause in his Hair 4 Hunger fundraiser for the OUR Center Food Bank to feed those in our community in need. Debbie Adams Photography is providing the professional services to photograph studio head shots of people so Jean of Red Wall Communications can then shave their head for the Bald O'Fame gallery on Facebook and the Hair 4 Hunger website. www.hair4hunger.com I am honored to be featured on the poster with Rose Chamberlain as a supporter of the Hair 4 Hunger Challenge. Go Jim go!
